KYBELLA® in Wichita, KS from Dr. Voge

Kybella logoAlso known as submental fullness, a double chin can make you look older and heavier than you actually are.

In the past, the only solution was to undergo surgical liposuction. Now there is an in-office procedure option for those that want to get rid of their double chin but are not willing to get surgery–KYBELLA® injectable treatment.

KYBELLA® is the only FDA-approved injectable treatment that destroys fat cells under the chin to improve your profile.

The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, KYBELLA®destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal.

How does KYBELLA® work?

Dr. Vanessa Voge, a plastic surgeon in Wichita, Kansas is specially trained to administer KYBELLA®  to those patients desiring an improved chin profile. At each treatment, you will receive multiple small injections under your chin. The injection process takes about 30 minutes.

Since each individual’s chin profile is different, the number of treatments varies from patient to patient. Dr. Voge will help determine how many treatment sessions you need after assessing the amount and distribution of your submental fat and talking with you about your personal goals.

Each KYBELLA® treatment session is given eight weeks apart. After your KYBELLA® treatment, you will have swelling, bruising, or numbness under your chin. Dr. Voge suggests not making plans for at least three days post treatment as the swelling will be quite noticeable.
